When amputee ultra runner Jacky Hunt-Broersma saw that a world record had been set for running 95 marathons in as many days, she thought that would be interesting to try and beat. On January 17th of this year, she began her quest to run 26.2 miles every day for the next 100 days and was well on her way when another runner beat her to it. So she upped her goal to 102 and last week she passed that goal when she ran her 104th marathon in 104 days, setting a world record and raising $192-thousand in the process.
