Mariah Carey was forced to cancel one of her concerts hours before it was set to begin after coming down with an illness.
The Queen of Christmas took to her X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday (December 11) to announce that she had to cancel her scheduled Christmas Time tour stop at the PPG Pains Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, after she got sick with the flu.
"Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I've come down with the flu," she wrote. "It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight's show. I love you all so much."
According to People, Ticketmaster also shared news of the cancelation on its website and noted that those who had purchased tickets for the show would be issued a refund. Carey's next tour stop is set for Friday (December 13), but it's unclear whether her illness will prevent her from performing as scheduled. The Christmas Time tour wraps up December 17 with a stop in Brooklyn.
However, just because her tour is ending doesn't mean she is ditching the holiday spirit. On Thursday, the "Fantasy" singer revealed that she will be joining NFL Christmas Gameday live on Netflix because, as the streaming giant explained, "It's not Christmas without Mariah Carey."
