Best egg hunts in Birmingham

Here's the breakdown of all the Easter activities going on around town:

Saturday, April 6th

  • Oak Mountain Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market; Oak Mountain State Park, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.: More than 25,000 filled eggs are ready to be hunted - some eggs have candy, some have stickers, some have toys. Events include hay rides, pony rides, corn hole games, two giant checkers sets and two giant tic tac toe boards. Also, local craftsman, artisans, boutiques, bakeries, brand reps and more will be set up and selling Easter and spring-themed goodies.
  • Overton Park Easter Egg Hunt;Overton Park, Mountain Brook, 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.: Bring your children for an hour of fun to celebrate Easter with an egg hunt, photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, face-painting, a cake walk and more.

Saturday, April 13th

  • Samford Family Easter Egg Hunt; Samford University, 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Cumberland School of Law alumni are invited to attend the Samford University Alumni Association's annual Samford Family Easter Egg Hunt on campus.

Saturday, April 20th

  • Easter Eggstravaganza at the Birmingham Zoo, 10AM - 12:30PM: Hop on over to Birmingham’s biggest Easter Egg Hunt during this rain or shine event that is sure to be fun for the whole family. Children can collect 10 eggs and receive a bunny plush!
