Blount County Fair
Presented by Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center at Blount County-Oneonta Agri-Business Center, Oneonta AL
SEP11 - 15
As one of only 22 county fairs throughout the state, we are indeed fortunate that the Jaycees saw fit to begin this family tradition for Blount County in 1953. The Blount County Fair features a professionally managed and family-friendly midway full of rides to suit all ages, as well as food booths from which you can get barbeque, hamburgers, hotdogs, authentic Mexican cuisine, and more…plus the traditional fair foods like funnel cakes, cotton candy, popcorn, nachos, and more!
Bring the family, shed your shoes, and help stomp our grapes at this year’s Grape Stomp. Afterwards, make a commemorative poster with your footprints to prove to your friends that you stomped grapes just like Lucille Ball. We will have wine tastings all day as well as live music and BBQ available. The highlight of the day is the Lucy Look a Like contest at 2pm. Ladies of all ages are invited to dress up and compete for cash prizes. (Don’t worry, we don’t make wine from the grapes used for grapestomping!)
