Anyone who knows me understands that there will be peanut butter within reach at any given time cuz I love i that much! After hearing recently about TSA getting tough on peanut butter, I've made a mental note not to pack it in my suitcase!
It all started when a guy tried to take ajar of Jif peanut butter on a recent flight. He shared on Twitter that he had to give up his peanut butter when a TSA agent said “Sorry, no liquids, gels or aerosols.” The New York Times and Fox News challenged the TSA on this one…but they are adamant about it. They say since peanut butter is “spreadable” the rules for liquids apply. If you can spill it, spray it, spread it, pump it or pour it, then it’s subject to the 3.4-ounce limitation. In case you’re wondering, that also goes for melted queso and other dips.
