We told you before about 12-year-old high school graduate Alena Wicker and now she’s making history as the youngest Black person to ever be accepted into medical school. After completing two and a half years of course study in one year, she has been accepted into the Heersink School of Medicine at University of Alabama. If all goes according to her plan, she’ll be a full-fledged doctor by the time she turns 18, and she hopes to use her skills to help underserved communities and inspire other young girls.
