On May 18th, surveillance video captured four-year-old Xzavier Ridney running straight into the pool at the Lawrence, Kansas apartment complex where he lives with his mother. Xzavier, who has autism, sank straight to the bottom of the pool and didn’t resurface, but fortunately, a 12-year-old neighbor saw the incident and told his dad, Tom Westerhaus. Westerhaus rushed to the pool, pulled Xzavier out and immediately began CPR, and after nearly three minutes, the boy started breathing again.
