Food Pantry Helps Reunite Woman With Dad’s Stolen Purple Heart

Janice Kaylor’s father, Marine First Class David Beltz, was killed serving his country in Korea before she was born and just four months after he married Kaylor’s mother. One of the few things Kaylor had to remember her father was his Purple Heart medal, so when it was stolen from her she did all she could to try and recover it, but eventually gave up. Recently, Grant Winger, director of a Colorado-based nonprofit, came into possession of the Purple Heart and after a bit of detective work, was able to reunite Kaylor with the medal.
