Emily Sisco, an occupational therapy professor at Arkansas State University, challenged her students to create an adaptive device that would allow her father to give hugs again. Sisco’s father, Kevin Eubanks lost the use of his left hand due to a stroke and hasn’t been able to give a proper two-armed hug in eight years. The students nailed the challenge, creating a device they call the HugAgain, and a heartwarming video of Eubanks using it to hug his grandsons for the first time in eight years has racked up millions of views.
