What to do when your friend or family member is sharing fake news...

By now... we have all seen it. Aunt Betty just shared something on Facebook that isn't true.

Your co-worker just posted an out of date meme that makes you cringe... your cousin just named checked a blog that you know spreads some whack stuff, etc.

But should you do anything about it?

I'm of the ignore it and it'll go away nature. Or even better yet, MUTE that conversation and notifications.

It's a good read. And obviously, don't do it publicly. That's just going to make it awkward for all involved.

A simple conversation, or a private message link to factcheck.org may do the trick. And if it doesn't, just move along.
