Tom DeLonge Posts The Sweetest Tribute To His Daughter On Graduation

Parents everywhere are celebrating their children graduating including some of your favorite rockstars.

On Thursday (May 28), Tom DeLonge took to Instagram to congratulate his daughter Ava on her high school graduation (honors and all).

“I am so proud of my daughter @avaedelonge for graduating with honors and distinction and navigating the many emotions of graduation during this Pandemic,” he started his tribute. “Ava, you are beautiful, kind, smart, funny and amazingly authentic. You will one day cure cancer, save an animal kingdom, or maybe even build an anti-gravity device for your Dad. Anything you put your heart into will come to life.”

He ended his note to his daughter saying, “Ava, whatever it is you do, I will rehash every memory I have of you and wonder if I was ever present enough, kind enough, or worthy enough of being your father. Today is a great day for you but honestly a devastating one for me... I will always wish you were still small, so you can be indefinitely... in my arms again.”

Of course fans were quick to notice a nod to blink-182's iconic song “Dammit” when he hashtagged “#iguessthisisgrowingup” at the end.

In a post this April, DeLonge shared the news that Ava will be attending Loyola Marymount University — a private Catholic university in Los Angeles.

DeLonge reunited with his ex-wife Jennifer to celebrate their daughter's achievements. The pair filed for divorce last September after 18 years together.

Three months after the news of their divorce, DeLonge introduced his fans to his new girlfriend whom he's still happily with today.

The Angels & Airwaves singer has even more to celebrate including The U.S. Navy recently published his three UFO videos
