While it's not uncommon for certain names to have spikes in popularity, something pretty interesting happened recently. Zooey Deschanel, Lauren Conrad and Carly Waddell all welcomed sons and picked the exact same first and middle names for their little guys. Not only did they all pick the same exact name, the chosen moniker is pretty unique. Another strange coincidence is that the three boys are all their parents second kid.
Back in May 2017, Deschanel welcomed her son with then-husband Jacob Pechenik. Similar to their oldest child, a daughter named Elsie Otter, Deschanel and Pechenik found inspiration in the animal kingdom. The former couple announced they named their son Charlie Wolf. Though it's unclear if she inspired her fellow celebs with her name choice, both Conrad and Waddell picked that same name for their own sons.
Just five weeks ago, Conrad announced the arrival of her own baby boy. "Our sweet baby boy, Charlie Wolf Tell, has arrived!" Conrad captioned a sweet Instagram post celebrating her bundle of joy. Not long after Conrad welcomed her own Charlie Wolf, Us Weekly asked Deschanel about the coincidence. “That was so weird, right?” she told the outlet. “I don’t think she knew it.” Deschanel also went on to point out, however, that Charlie Wolf “is a really specific name.”
Well, it looks like Waddell wanted to join the club, too. The Bachelor in Paradise star announced on Wednesday (November 13) that she welcomed her own baby boy with husband Evan Bass. The proud parents confirmed to People their son's name is Charles Wolfe, yet they plan to call him Charlie for short. The only difference between this Charlie Wolfe and the others is the spelling.
What do you think: is this just a coincidence or were Conrad and Waddell inspired by Deschanel's choice?
