On Monday, Erin Wilson and her two-year-old Belgian Malinois Eva were hiking in Northern California when Wilson was attacked by a mountain lion and Eva came to her rescue. After a brief scuffle, the big cat latched onto Eva’s skull, causing multiple fractures and puncture wounds, then a passerby used pepper spray to free Eva from the cat’s grip. Eva spent days at the vet recovering and Wilson will do everything to see to it that she’s well cared for, afterall, she feels she owes Eva her life.
