Amber Battle was headed to a job interview when her car broke down and Jacksonville Sheriff Officer Sylvia Mitchell saw her crying by the road and stopped to check on her. Battle asked the officer if she could give her a ride and the officer hesitantly agreed. But Mitchell didn’t just drop Battle off at the interview, she actually went inside and told the interviewer that they should hire Battle, which they did.
