Highs & lows - Explosion in Beirut kills at least 70, injures thousands

A massive explosion in downtown Beirut on Tuesday left at least 70 people dead and more than 3,000 injured. The extraordinary blast flattened much of the Lebanese capital's port and sent a giant mushroom cloud into the sky, and struck with the force of a 3.5 magnitude earthquake. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this tragedy.
