Here's the final medal count from Sochi.

 

1.  Russia with 33 medals . . . 13 gold, 11 silver, and 9 bronze.

 

2.  The United States with 28 medals . . . 9 gold, 7 silver, and 12 bronze.

 

3.  Norway with 26 medals . . . 11 gold, 5 silver, and 10 bronze.

 

4.  Canada with 25 medals . . . 10 gold, 10 silver, and 5 bronze.

 

5.  The Netherlands with 24 medals . . . 8 gold, 7 silver, and 9 bronze.

 

Those are also the top five countries in terms of gold medals . . . with Russia in first, followed by Norway's 11 gold, Canada's 10, and our nine gold medals.  There were 68 countries who didn't get any gold and 63 of those didn't get ANY medals at all.
